- Yes; version 8"is the last 16-bit version of the Microsoft C++ compiler.
- If you buy Visual C++ version 4.0 you will get with it Visual C++ version
- 1.52c; the compiler in the latter identifies itself as "Microsoft (R)
- C/C++ Optimizing Compiler Version 8.00c."
